The mission of Hockey In The Hood is to bring the sport of hockey to disadvantaged inner-city youths in order to teach and nurture the life principles of work ethic, discipline, and teamwork.
Although one of the goals is to field a competitive team, the primary goal is to teach the fundamentals of the sport to youths who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate.
